Redroofs Barn was built in the 19th century and constructed of local Nottinghamshire handmade brick and timber it was originally the farm's mill, housing a traditional ‘hammer mill' used to provide feed for the farm's animals it has been beautifully converted with a great deal of care and attention to preserving its original features and charm giving the building a new lease of life. Standing in its own grounds there is plenty of off road parking available, secured by an electric gate, Unlimited broadband wi-fi is accessible throughout the property
The kitchen at Redroofs Barn has everything you could possibly want from a country cottage kitchen and more. From a large electric range cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine everything is here to enable you to rustle up a sandwich to a three-course dinner, a good selection of serving dishes, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery and glassware are all provided , there's even have a slow cooker .
The dining room is conveniently located next to the kitchen and opens up into the lounge making a wonderful social space. With a large oak dining table with Eames style chairs to seat 8 , lovely views from the patio door, oak flooring and a pretty staircase leading up to the first floor letting light through from the stairwell, there’s plenty of space for you and your loved ones to settle down to a delicious meal
The lounge is off the dining room it has squashy sofas and comfortable chairs it’s a perfect place to catch up on one of your favourite TV programmes or watch a film. settle back with a good book or just curling up and listened to some music, it features patio doors and two picture windows with uninterrupted views to the local countryside it makes the ideal spot to get all cosy and while away the hours in peace and tranquillity. With daily life being so busy, this peaceful and cosy setting
The Master Bedroom Is a lovely family room with its king-sized bed and beautifully co-ordinated soft furnishings and crisp white cotton bedding , the windows are fitted with blackout blinds which will guarantee to give you a comfortable sleep, it has the added bonus of an additional single bed and a trundle bed that tucks away giving you ample room for 4 guests if required, there room for a cot too A beautiful En-suite shower room with fresh white towels and complimentary toiletries is off the bedroom.
Our second bedroom is twin room, a quaint bedroom with views to the open countryside two full size single beds crisp white cotton bedding and coordinating soft furnishings, blackout blinds which will guarantee to give you a great night’s sleep
A separate shower room is adjacent with complimentary toiletries and fresh white towels.
Redroofs Barn has a private graveled patio area complete with a picnic bench for those al fresco lunches.
A private hot tub is available to book separately, we understand that having a hot tub at your holiday cottage is a really special touch to your holiday experience and adds that extra indulgence to your stay, but not everyone wants to use one, so we charge separately so you don’t pay if you don’t use it. It seats 4 people and is the perfect pampering and de-stressing experience. The powerful jets massage and sooth to make you feel as good as new!
Need a little more room then why not book ‘Florence ‘our traditional bijou shepherds hut situated in the garden, sleeping 2 guests in a lovely comfy double bed offering additional sleeping, the beautiful interior is designed with a range of designer soft furnishings and vintage ornaments, it has electric heating, TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge for that all-important fizz a truly special little hut (sorry not suitable for children or pets)
We have a lovely private adult only hot tub for our guests to enjoy. Available to book additional at a cost of £60 per 4hr session for bookings of guest 4 or less .
